In the research framework on Vietnam – Ireland Social Enterprise Casebook, this morning, CSIE had an opportunity to get to know and interview Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Na, CEO of Cam Vinh Ky Yen at Vietnam Silicon Valley office.
Having been through numerous difficulties after roughly 6 years of operation, Cam Vinh Ky Yen is not only an international quality product but has become a typical sustainable agricultural business model, a solution to the consequences of agricultural production with toxic chemicals. Today, the enterprise has changed its stance on pesticide used in growing oranges as well as increasing farmers’ income by saving at least 30% of the lost orange production after harvests, material collection for processing products. Here, we are inspired by La Na’s realization of the dream of ecological farming. That is the desire for change in the country’s agriculture, servitization of Vietnamese agriculture and use of strategic farming methods.
Cam Vinh Ky Yen will appear in the book Vietnam Social Enterprise – Ireland published in this October, please follow CSIE Fanpage to keep up to date with our next mesmerizing stories!
The book is written and published in the framework of VIBE project between CSIE and TcdSoc Innov, funded by @IriIrish Embassy in Vietnam.
